Job Description
Olive Garden is a well-known and beloved restaurant chain that specializes in Italian cuisine, providing guests with an inviting and family-friendly dining experience. With a dedication to high-quality service and a warm atmosphere, Olive Garden has established itself as a place where guests can enjoy delicious meals and memorable moments. The restaurant takes pride in maintaining high standards for health, safety, and sanitation to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all team members and guests. This commitment extends to the wellness of employees and the cleanliness of the restaurant, reflecting Olive Garden's care and respect for everyone who walks through its doors.
As a host at Olive Garden, you will be the face of the restaurant and the first person guests meet when they enter. Your role is pivotal in shaping the guests' dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. Hosting at Olive Garden is more than just greeting guests; it is about creating a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and comfortable. Your tasks will include warmly welcoming guests, guiding them to their tables, presenting clean menus, and helping enhance their meal by offering thoughtful dining suggestions. You will also maintain key touchpoints throughout the restaurant to ensure they are regularly sanitized and disinfected, upholding health and safety standards.
The role offers a dynamic work environment where interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Olive Garden strongly supports its team members by offering flexible schedules, including accommodations for those balancing school, childcare, or family care responsibilities. Weekly pay ensures employees receive timely compensation for their efforts, and anniversary pay rewards loyalty and commitment. Hosts earn paid sick leave that accrues continuously and access paid family and medical leave after one year of service.
In addition to a positive work setting and competitive pay, Olive Garden provides many employee benefits, such as medical and dental insurance, ongoing training programs to develop critical skills for current and future positions, and discounts on cellphones, travel, electronics, and more. The company encourages career progression, with more than half of its managers promoted from hourly positions, supporting team members who seek advancement. The 401(k) savings plan also includes company matching after one year of service, helping employees plan for their financial futures.
At Olive Garden, the sense of family is more than a motto—it is a culture embraced by every team member. Training and ongoing support make the host position an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy creating positive guest experiences. If you want to be part of a company that values your contribution and fosters growth, this role is a great place to start your hospitality career. Come join Olive Garden where you'll be welcomed into a family that values dedication, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to service.
