The Host position at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is a vital part-time role designed to enhance guests' experiences by providing exceptional customer service in a fun and exciting atmosphere. The host is the first point of contact for visitors, tasked with welcoming guests warmly, managing seating logistics, and ensuring an efficient, enjoyable visit. This position requires a blend of interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards, all aimed at exceeding guest expectations. Hosts actively contribute to the overall guest satisfaction by supporting dining operations, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting with various guest needs including allergy accommodations and special requests. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday
ability to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, holidays and weekends
ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment
ability to understand, follow and maintain safety standards
ability to communicate quickly and accurately

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred
ability to communicate clearly and professionally
ability to work well in a team environment
knowledge of safety procedures
ability to handle guest interactions positively and efficiently

Job Duties

Welcome visitors by greeting them in a friendly and positive manner
meet, greet and seat guests to ensure positive guest experiences
make fair and consistent decisions on seating for guests and parties
provide information regarding all aspects of the restaurant and company including specials
tend to guest special needs and requests including making sure service staff and kitchen are aware of allergies
assist with delivering food to guests
support the busser department in set up, breakdown and cleaning of tables
observe, instruct and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence
assist with guest recovery and notify manager to ensure positive guest experiences
constant working knowledge of Andretti brand, product and policies and procedures
communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and fellow co-workers
perform opening, running and closing department duties as assigned
be aware and knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures
