Job Description
LAZ Parking is a well-established company specializing in parking management services, operating with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. With a reputation for innovative solutions and customer-focused approaches, LAZ Parking serves a variety of clients, including hospitality venues, commercial businesses, and municipal entities. Their operations span numerous locations, with each site managed under the principles of safety, efficiency, and superior customer service. The Bellevue, WA hospitality location adheres to these high standards and is currently seeking a dedicated Valet Shift Lead to join their team.
The Valet Shift Lead role at LAZ Parking in Bellevue is a full-time position offering an hourly pay rate of $22.00. This role is designed for a professional who can oversee operations in the absence of location management while ensuring optimal service delivery, safety compliance, and financial performance. The Shift Lead plays a critical role in maintaining service thresholds and initiatives aligned with client expectations, focusing not only on operational tasks but also on leading the team through exemplary management and communication.
In this position, the Valet Shift Lead supports location management by driving financial, operational, safety, and service-related goals. The role involves active participation in daily stand-up meetings and requires holding internal pre-shift meetings to ensure the team is aligned and motivated. The Shift Lead enforces adherence to company policies and procedures, addresses customer and client concerns, and communicates any operational challenges to management. Beyond these responsibilities, the Shift Lead also assists in managing and developing the hotel team, fostering a culture that embraces LAZ Parking’s values and facilitates growth.
A key part of the job is safety management. The Shift Lead implements safety initiatives as guided by the National Safety & Training Manager, reports safety concerns, and ensures training protocols are followed rigorously. Serving as a mentor, the Shift Lead supervises the team’s daily activities, ensuring a smooth workflow and high standards of service during management’s absence.
Further responsibilities include assisting in establishing performance standards and recommending procedural improvements to enhance service quality. Monitoring and responding to service performance metrics, cultivating client relationships, and driving business retention are critical functions of this role. The Shift Lead is also accountable for overall financial success during their shift, including handling claims and supporting safety training and prevention initiatives.
Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or GED, with supervisory experience preferred. Experience in hotel and valet services is a plus, and the ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is desirable, though not mandatory. Strong customer service skills and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record of at least three years are essential. Effective communication, professionalism, openness to feedback, and excellent team-building capabilities are vital to succeed in this role.
Physical demands include the willingness to work in various weather conditions and the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. The role requires standing, walking, running, bending, stooping, and squatting throughout the shift. LAZ Parking values diversity and inclusivity, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination and participating in E-Verify to ensure legal compliance.
Overall, the Valet Shift Lead at LAZ Parking is a dynamic position requiring leadership, operational expertise, and customer service excellence. This role offers the chance to grow within a respected organization dedicated to safety, service quality, and employee development.
