The position of Event Hospitality Team Leader / Captain offered by Indeed Flex presents an exciting opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals to take on leadership roles within high-end event settings. This role is integral to the successful delivery of upscale events where attention to detail, professionalism, and team coordination are paramount. As an Event Hospitality Team Leader / Captain, you will be responsible for managing front-of-house (FOH) operations, supporting teams on site, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Your duties will include pre-shift training, coordinating with team members, resolving guest concerns, and actively participating in service tasks such as tray passing and food station management.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior event, catering, or hospitality experience preferred
  • strong attention to detail, professionalism, and punctuality
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team-based service model
  • clear and confident communication skills
  • ability to provide direction and support while maintaining a positive guest experience
  • willingness to comply with interview dress code and grooming standards

Job Duties

  • Facilitate FOH operations by assisting with pre-shift training, checking in Flexers, and reviewing event expectations
  • act as the primary FOH point of contact during the shift, supporting Flexer questions and resolving guest escalations
  • provide real-time feedback and guidance to team members while actively working the floor
  • perform hands-on event service, including tray service and team-based service execution
  • manage and work assigned stations alongside the team, passing plates, attending food stations, etc., to ensure high service standards
  • work assigned stations with your team, passing plates, passing beverages, attending stations, etc.
