Job Description
Landing has emerged as the largest flexible living network in the United States since its inception in 2019. With operations spanning more than 35 major markets and thousands of apartments under its management, Landing revolutionizes the way people find and live in fully furnished, flexible apartments. Unlike traditional rental markets, Landing offers a hassle-free living experience with no deposits required, making it an appealing option for those who prioritize convenience, agility, and top-tier service. The company's rapid growth is fueled by its ability to adapt in a fast-paced industry where priorities frequently shift and no two days are identical.
Landing is a pioneering real estate and hospitality technology company that blends property management with seamless customer service, utilizing an innovative platform that connects residents with homes through both direct channels and online travel agencies (OTA) such as Airbnb and Booking.com. The company’s forward-thinking culture encourages adaptability, entrepreneurial spirit, and a dedication to enhancing the member experience at every touchpoint.
The role available is a critical market segment ownership position based in the South Dallas or Grand Prairie, TX markets. As a Market Segment Owner, you will hold comprehensive responsibility for a portfolio of properties, working closely with property partners, housekeeping vendors, maintenance teams, and directly managing the member experience. This position is ideal for someone with a background in hotel operations, short-term rental management, or high-volume hospitality who thrives in a dynamic environment requiring quick decisions with incomplete information. Unlike traditional roles focused on individual properties, this role requires ownership of the entire market segment's operations including extensive reservation management through Landing’s platform and OTAs, resolving member concerns across various channels, monitoring and driving market performance metrics such as NPS, customer satisfaction, and growth, and launching new properties within the segment.
The Market Segment Owner is a key player in translating company strategy into operational excellence on the ground. Success in this role means balancing rapid problem-solving with system-building, maintaining high standards for unit quality, and fostering strong relationships with external vendors and property partners. It is a hands-on position demanding excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring outstanding customer service. The role requires flexibility with work hours since it is guest-facing and demands availability beyond the standard business week including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak periods like month-end and high-volume check-in times.
Landing offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $75,000 based on experience, complemented by a performance bonus of up to 20% of base salary and a $6,600 annual vehicle and cell phone stipend. The company also provides stock options and an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, mental health support, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending accounts. There is a strong emphasis on career growth, as many leadership positions within Field Operations are filled through internal promotion. Additionally, employees enjoy a generous paid time off policy, retirement support through a 401(k) plan with immediate access to funds, and a unique travel perk worth $750 annually in Landing Stays.
At Landing, diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to the company ethos. They are proud to be an equal opportunity employer that considers qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, military service, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
