Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Restaurant Manager to join our team in Rockford. This competitive salaried role is ideal for an individual passionate about creating excellent guest experiences through effective team leadership and operational management. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, including ensuring all food and products are prepared and served in strict accordance with our recipes and standards. This individual will also manage cash handling, maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards, and assist team members as needed to boost efficiency and maintain superior service quality.

The role requires a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure that service delivery meets our high-quality expectations consistently. An essential part of the role includes developing and motivating team members, fostering their growth in all operational areas, and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations related to health, safety, and labor requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Be 21 years of age
  • have at least three years of experience in full-service casual dining
  • possess excellent math skills
  • be able to operate a POS system
  • have basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office and email
  • be physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Be 21 years of age
  • be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s operating area
  • have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of experience in full service, casual dining
  • experience with full service alcohol serving facilities is desirable
  • possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system
  • experience with event planning is a plus
  • have basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office and the use of email
  • be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • availability on nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
  • ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of team members and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
  • fill in where needed and assist all team members to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • continually strive to develop the team members in all areas
  • ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures
  • be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and operations
  • fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, team members and guests
  • understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines
  • manage all in house and off site events from the initial Event Request to the conclusion of the event
