Job Description
Landing is a leading flexible living network that has revolutionized residential living since its inception in 2019. As the largest network of flexible living accommodations in the United States, Landing operates across more than 35 markets with thousands of apartments available to members. Landing’s unique model eliminates traditional barriers like deposits, offering a seamless and hassle-free living experience that caters to modern renters seeking convenience, flexibility, and quality living spaces. The company prides itself on its fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities shift rapidly and no two days are the same, reflecting a startup culture fueled by innovation and customer-centric service.
The role of Market Segment Owner is an essential leadership position within Landing’s growing Colorado Springs, CO market. This role requires a proactive, hands-on professional to oversee a segment of properties with comprehensive ownership of member experience, property relationships, housekeeping vendors, maintenance, and unit quality. The Market Segment Owner will manage the entire guest journey from reservations made through Landing’s proprietary platform as well as popular OTA partners such as Airbnb and Booking.com. They will be responsible for building strong, lasting relationships with property partners, resolving member issues across multiple channels, and consistently reporting market performance metrics including Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), cleaning quality, and growth to the Hub Manager.
The ideal candidate brings valuable experience from hotel operations, short-term rental portfolio management, or high-volume hospitality operations. Unlike traditional roles centered on managing a single property, this role commands full ownership over an entire market segment, requiring strategic thinking and operational excellence. Candidates must thrive in fast-moving environments and be comfortable making informed decisions despite incomplete information. This position provides the unique challenge and opportunity to build and refine operational playbooks while leveraging data and member feedback to continuously enhance service delivery.
Key responsibilities include reservation management across multiple channels, ensuring exceptional member experiences from booking to checkout, coordinating with property and housekeeping partners, monitoring and improving market KPIs, and managing onboarding and launch of new properties. This role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple urgent priorities simultaneously, and a comfort level with ambiguity inherent in growth-stage companies.
Landing offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $55,000 to $75,000, supplemented by performance bonuses of up to 20% of the base salary, along with an annual vehicle and cell phone stipend. Employees benefit from stock options and a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, disability coverage, mental health support, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending accounts (FSA) or health savings accounts (HSA). The company supports retirement planning through a 401(k) plan and additional financial services, boasting a generous paid time off policy to promote work-life balance. Employees also enjoy an annual travel perk worth $750 in Landing stays.
The role’s core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but flexibility to include evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to meet the demands of guest-facing operations during peak periods. Landing’s culture values growth and internal promotion, with many leaders advancing through the ranks of Field Operations.
Landing is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants are considered regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or any other legally protected status. Joining Landing not only means contributing to the future of flexible living but also becoming part of a rapidly expanding team dedicated to innovation, excellent customer experiences, and operational excellence.
