Job Description

Landing is the largest flexible living network in the United States, having rapidly expanded since its inception in 2019 to more than 35 markets across the country. The company offers thousands of apartments with a unique approach that eliminates deposits and minimizes hassle, making flexible living accessible and convenient for its members. Landing’s business model is deeply entrenched in the real world, which means their operations are fast-paced, adaptable, and constantly evolving to meet changing market demands and customer expectations. Known for its innovative approach to flexible housing, Landing prioritizes member experience, operational excellence, and strategic growth, making it a leader in the short-term housing and rental market.

This particular role is focused on market segment ownership within the Jacksonville market. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing a portfolio of properties within this segment, overseeing the member experience, property relationships, housekeeping vendors, maintenance operations, unit quality, and all related activities. This individual will act as an operational leader, ensuring smooth management of reservations through Landing’s proprietary platform and third-party online travel agency (OTA) partners such as Airbnb and Booking.com. They will handle member interactions from the initial booking stage through to checkout, addressing inquiries, managing escalations, and resolving any issues promptly and effectively. Building strong partnerships with property owners, vendors, and maintenance teams in Jacksonville is central to the role, as is regular reporting on market performance to the Hub Manager.

Ideal candidates will bring prior experience from high-volume hospitality environments such as hotels, short-term rental portfolios, or vacation rental management, where rapid decision-making and operational autonomy are essential. Unlike a traditional property manager who oversees one location, this role involves managing an entire market segment, requiring a strategic mindset and the ability to innovate and build systems in a growth-stage company where processes are still being defined. The role demands resilience and excellent judgment, often requiring decisions to be made with incomplete information while prioritizing the best customer experience. It also calls for strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.

The work schedule primarily aligns with standard business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, but because this is a guest-facing position, additional availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is required based on business needs, especially during peak check-in periods or month-end cycles. This position offers a competitive base salary between $55,000 and $75,000 depending on experience, plus a performance bonus of up to 20% of the base salary and an annual vehicle and cell stipend of $6,600. Beyond compensation, Landing provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, mental health support, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending or health savings accounts. Retirement plans with 401(k) and immediate pay access are also offered, alongside stock options to allow employees to share in the company’s growth.

Landing is committed to fostering career growth and upward mobility within the company, with a management team in Field Operations primarily built from internal promotions. The organization encourages diverse candidates and promotes equal opportunity hiring practices, ensuring a non-discriminatory environment respectful of all backgrounds and identities. Additionally, employees enjoy generous paid time off policies designed to promote work-life balance and travel perks like $750 annually in Landing Stay credits, further supporting a flexible and fulfilling lifestyle. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic hospitality professional ready to lead operational efforts in a fast-growing and innovative flexible living company.
