Job Description

Landing is a pioneering company that has established the largest flexible living network across the United States since its inception in 2019. With its presence in over 35 markets and thousands of available apartments, Landing offers an innovative alternative to traditional renting by eliminating deposits and reducing hassles for its members. This agile and rapidly growing company thrives on adaptability and customer focus, providing flexible living solutions to meet the evolving needs of modern renters. The company’s platform integrates direct bookings alongside partnerships with major online travel agencies such as Airbnb and Booking.com, creating seamless access to quality, flexible living spaces nationwide.

Located in Austin, TX, Landing is seeking a Market Segment Owner to manage a portfolio of properties within its dynamic and fast-paced rental ecosystem. This market segment ownership role is unique in its scope and responsibilities, calling for a professional who can oversee everything from member experience and property relations to housekeeping and maintenance vendor coordination. Unlike traditional hospitality roles focused on a single property, this position holds accountability for an entire segment of the market. The role requires a proactive, system-builder mindset capable of navigating ambiguity and crafting scalable solutions in a rapidly evolving environment.

In this role, you will take full ownership of reservation management across multiple channels, including direct bookings through Landing’s platform and third-party platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com. You will be the central point of contact for member inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring a seamless customer experience from booking through checkout. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with property and housekeeping vendors is crucial, along with overseeing key performance indicators such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), cleaning quality, and overall market growth.

This role demands someone with a strong background in hotel operations, short-term rental management, or high-volume hospitality settings, where the ability to operate efficiently under pressure is essential. Experience running properties or markets independently is highly valued, as is the ability to prioritize multiple urgent tasks effectively. The position requires excellent organizational skills and a solutions-oriented approach to daily challenges. Flexibility in work hours is important, as the role supports core business hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but also necessitates availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business and guest needs.

Landing offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $55,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, plus a performance bonus up to 20% of the base salary. Additional financial benefits include a $6,600 annual vehicle and cell phone stipend, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package encompassing medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, mental health support, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) options. The company also provides retirement savings support through a 401(k) plan and access to ImmediatePay, along with generous paid time off policies to promote work-life balance. Employees receive an annual $750 travel perk redeemable at Landing stays nationwide.

Landing is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer. Candidates of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply and will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, military service, or any other protected status under applicable laws. This role is ideal for professionals eager to grow with a fast-moving company and build a career in the flexible living and hospitality industry.
