Job Description
Landing is the largest flexible living network in the United States, founded in 2019. The company operates in over 35 markets across the country, offering thousands of apartment options without requiring deposits, making the rental process hassle-free for its customers. Landing focuses on providing flexible living solutions that adapt to the dynamic needs of modern renters, connecting people with fully furnished apartments through an easy-to-use platform. The company is committed to growth and innovation, continuously expanding its footprint and refining its operations to deliver the best possible member experience. With its cutting-edge technology and dedication to flexibility, Landing simplifies the way people find and book homes for shorter or longer stays, setting new standards in the flexible living market.
This role is a market segment ownership position based in the Cleveland, OH market, perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and values autonomy in decision-making. As a Market Segment Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of properties, being deeply involved with member experience, property relationships, housekeeping vendors, maintenance coordination, unit quality, and everything in between. Your responsibilities include managing reservations made through Landing's own platform as well as external channels like Airbnb and Booking.com. Building and maintaining strong relationships with property partners is critical to your success, as is resolving member issues across multiple communication channels promptly and efficiently. You will report on the market's performance using key performance indicators such as NPS, CSAT, cleaning quality, and growth metrics to your Hub Manager.
This position requires someone who has experience in hotel operations, short-term rental management, or managing a high-volume hospitality portfolio. Previous roles in these areas will have prepared you to handle the demands and rapid pace of this job. Unlike traditional hospitality roles where you might manage a single property, this role involves ownership of an entire market segment, providing a unique challenge and opportunity as the operational playbook is still being developed. The job demands a strong ability to operate under pressure, making decisions even when all information is not available, always prioritizing an excellent customer experience. You will be instrumental in onboarding new properties into the market segment, coordinating installations, and ensuring seamless launching of new offerings.
The core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, but as a guest-facing position, you should be prepared for additional availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise, especially during peak periods such as month-end and high-volume check-in times. The company values upward mobility and promotes strongly from within, offering competitive compensation ranging from $55,000 to $75,000 base salary plus performance bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, mental health support, pet benefits, commuter benefits, and flexible spending or health savings account options. Retirement support through a 401(k) plan and access to ImmediatePay are available, alongside a generous paid time off policy and an annual travel perk of $750 to be used on Landing stays.
Landing is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment and is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status under applicable law.
