Job Description
Landing is a pioneering flexible living network that has rapidly grown since its establishment in 2019 to cover over 35 markets nationwide with thousands of apartments available to members without the hassle of deposits. The company thrives on providing an unparalleled living experience that blends convenience and comfort with flexibility, empowering residents to book high-quality apartments through an easy-to-use platform. Landing's innovative approach to flexible living caters to the demands of modern urban lifestyles, growing its presence with a keen focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Their approach is dynamic, informal, and fast-paced, reflecting the real world where priorities shift and adaptability is key.
The Market Segment Owner role within Landing offers a unique and exciting opportunity to lead a critical segment of properties within the Salt Lake City Market. This position entails comprehensive ownership beyond managing a single property, empowering the individual to oversee an entire market segment encompassing member experience, property and vendor relationships, housekeeping, maintenance, unit quality, and overall market performance. This is a hands-on role requiring strong managerial skills coupled with a commitment to an exceptional customer experience.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing reservations sourced both through Landing’s proprietary platform and through third-party online travel agencies such as Airbnb and Booking.com. You will serve as the direct liaison with property partners, helping build and maintain strong relationships while swiftly addressing member issues from booking through checkout across various communication channels. This role also demands vigilant oversight of key performance indicators including net promoter score (NPS), customer satisfaction (CSAT), cleaning quality, and growth metrics. Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll contribute significantly to onboarding and launching new properties within your segment, ensuring seamless integration into the market network.
Ideal candidates have a background in hotel operations, short-term rental management, vacation rental portfolio management, or similar high-volume hospitality experiences, with proven success in managing properties or markets autonomously. You must be comfortable operating in a fast-moving and evolving environment with incomplete information, showing strong decision-making and organizational skills even when multiple urgent issues arise simultaneously. This role requires effective prioritization, follow-through, and a growth mindset, as processes and systems are continuously established and refined.
Your work schedule will primarily follow core business hours Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, but additional availability is necessary during evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate guest-facing responsibilities, especially during peak periods such as month-end and check-in surges. Landing offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $55,000 to $75,000 base salary based on experience, plus a performance bonus of up to 20% of base salary, vehicle and cell stipends, sign-on bonuses, and stock options.
The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, disability, mental health, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending or health savings accounts. Retirement support includes a 401(k) plan with access to ImmediatePay. Importantly, Landing fosters a supportive work culture with generous paid time off to encourage work-life balance and a unique travel perk of $750 annually in Landing Stays. They are an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and inclusion across all aspects of hiring and employment.
