Job Description
The Akron RubberDucks are a Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, a professional minor league baseball team known for its vibrant community presence and commitment to delivering memorable sports entertainment experiences. Based in Akron, Ohio, the RubberDucks play their home games at the modern 7 17 Credit Union Park, which serves as a premier venue for baseball games as well as a host for various special events throughout the year. The organization prides itself on fostering an energetic and welcoming atmosphere for fans, clients, and partners alike, making it a desirable place for career growth within the sports and hospitality industries. The Akron RubberDucks are committed to excellence not only on the field but also in the service and hospitality standards it maintains for all guests and patrons.
This position is for a full-time Hospitality Coordinator, a vital role that ensures the highest level of hospitality experiences during home games and special events hosted at the park. The Hospitality Coordinator will oversee premium hospitality areas including the Kaulig Companies Championship Club, the Duck Club by Firestone, suites, and other exclusive venues throughout the ballpark. This dynamic role involves coordinating day-to-day hospitality operations and collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage team to develop appealing menus and guest offerings that elevate the overall game day and event experience.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, service-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a passion for customer satisfaction and teamwork. Responsibilities include training hospitality staff, managing schedules, maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring all hospitality spaces are clean, organized, and presentable. The coordinator also plays a key role in fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments to guarantee seamless event execution from start to finish.
This role requires excellent organizational and multitasking skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office. Candidates with at least one year of experience in hospitality or event operations—preferably in high-volume settings—will find this position a promising opportunity to grow their career in the sports entertainment field. The Hospitality Coordinator must be flexible with work hours, as the position involves evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on the team's game and event schedule. Physical requirements include the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and occasionally lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
Joining the Akron RubberDucks means becoming part of a dedicated team that values inclusivity, equal opportunity, and a commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences in a fun and dynamic environment. Candidates ready to contribute to creating memorable sports and hospitality events will thrive in this engaging and supportive setting where professional growth and a love for the game intersect.
