Job Description

The Bible Chapel is a vibrant and welcoming church community that continually aims to foster fellowship and support among its members through various ministries and events. Known for its commitment to providing an engaging and spiritually uplifting environment, The Bible Chapel organizes numerous gatherings that cater to the diverse needs of its congregation. These events range from small ministry team meetings to large celebrations such as VBS (Vacation Bible School), Marriage Journey, and special memorial services. To support these varied functions with a hospitable atmosphere and seamless food and beverage service, the church is seeking a dedicated Hospitality and Events Coordinator to join its team.

This part-time role of Hospitality and Events Coordinator is pivotal in ensuring that every significant event hosted by The Bible Chapel is executed with excellence, warmth, and care. The coordinator will be responsible for creating a well-orchestrated team focused on delivering consistent and high-quality food and beverage service to event attendees. Emphasizing teamwork and attention to detail, this role requires partnering closely with different ministries to plan and deliver hospitality services tailored to specific event needs. This includes managing volunteer recruitment and training, overseeing supply procurement, and coordinating service logistics such as linen services and kitchen equipment management.

The coordinator will interface regularly with ministry leaders, volunteers, and vendors to ensure all hospitality aspects are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. The role involves tasks such as facilitating electronic orders and handling deliveries or pickups from preferred vendors. Additionally, the coordinator must be physically capable of performing the essential functions related to event setup, service, and cleanup, which includes lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods. Attendance at church services, meetings, and staff functions is an integral part of the role to stay aligned with the church’s mission and community.

The ideal candidate is a mature believer who aligns with the beliefs and teachings of The Bible Chapel and exhibits a blend of spiritual gifts such as hospitality, empathy, administration, creative communication, and leadership. They are expected to maintain a high level of organizational skill, flexibility, and the ability to think proactively under pressure. This position requires persistence, sensitivity, and a genuine commitment to supporting the church’s ministries through attentive and thoughtful service coordination.

Working approximately 10 to 14.5 hours per week, this stipend-based part-time position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the church’s mission while developing one’s leadership and organizational capabilities. The coordinator will be accountable to the Chapel Café Manager, ensuring clear communication and alignment with the church’s broader operational goals. This role embodies a crucial bridge between ministry vision and practical execution, orchestrating a hospitable environment conducive to fellowship and spiritual growth.
