Job Description

This role is for the Hospitality Concierge of Rooms at a brand-new Four Seasons Resort located along the stunning Southwest Florida coast. This is a unique opportunity to join a pre-opening team and play a pivotal role in launching a flagship property that harmonizes the timeless luxury Four Seasons is known for with the distinctive charm and soul of the region. As part of this leadership position, the Hospitality Concierge of Rooms will oversee critical operational teams, including the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Guest Services departments. The role is instrumental in driving operational excellence, shaping service standards, and fostering a supportive and engaging work environment that empowers team members to excel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every guest experience is exceptional, seamless, and memorable by upholding and exceeding Four Seasons' rigorous service standards. This involves proactive leadership in the pre-opening phases, setting up efficient systems, training and mentoring staff, and maintaining high service quality during daily operations. Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Reservations teams will be essential to optimize occupancy and maximize revenue opportunities, thereby contributing to the resort's overall financial health.
As acting Director of Rooms during absences of the Department Head, this role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and problem-solving capabilities. The Hospitality Concierge of Rooms will personally manage high-priority guest requests and VIP arrivals with a hands-on approach that exemplifies the Four Seasons service ethos. Monitoring staff productivity, managing shift coverage, and conducting regular inspections ensure operational smoothness and safety. The role also includes budget support responsibilities by analyzing labor and supply costs to maintain robust financial performance.
Flexibility is key, as the position requires working varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, often acting as the senior leader on duty during these times. Multilingual skills are an asset, enhancing the ability to serve a diverse clientele. Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of Rooms Division leadership experience in a luxury hospitality environment
- Prior Four Seasons or five-star resort experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Four Seasons service culture and operational standards
- Proficiency in hotel software systems
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluent in English
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Rooms Division leadership experience in a luxury hospitality environment
- Prior Four Seasons or five-star resort experience strongly preferred
- Proven success in pre-opening, operational planning, and stakeholder management
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished and professional presence
- Thorough understanding of Four Seasons service culture, operational standards, and departmental procedures
- Proficiency in hotel software systems
- knowledge of Opera PMS is a plus
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English
- additional language skills are considered an asset
Job Duties
- Serve as acting Director of Rooms in the absence of the Department Head
- Guide and support the pre-opening setup of service standards, systems, and team development across Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Guest Services
- Ensure daily operations meet or exceed Four Seasons service standards and lead efforts to resolve guest or team issues swiftly and professionally
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Reservations to optimize occupancy and maximize revenue opportunities
- Maintain clear communication across all departments regarding guest needs, preferences, and operational updates
- Interview, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate team members while nurturing a positive and inclusive workplace
- Monitor staff productivity, shift coverage, and service levels while conducting regular property and departmental inspections
- Personally handle high-priority guest concerns, special requests, and VIP arrivals with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Analyze labor and supply costs to support strong financial performance and assist in annual budgeting efforts
- Act as the senior leader on duty during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure smooth and safe operations
