The role of Hospitality Closing Sales Lead (Caribbean) based in Miami, Florida (home-based) at Lutron is a key strategic position focused on driving aggressive growth across the Caribbean hospitality sector. This is a high-impact closer role where you will manage the final stages of the sales cycle, turning project specifications into confirmed revenue. You will act as a regional pivot point, aligning specification sales, developers, dealers, and contractors while scaling and strengthening the Hospitality Technology Integrator (HTI) network throughout multiple Caribbean territories.
As the Hospitality Closing Sales Lead, your primary focus will be on closing strategic hospitality projects such as hotels and resorts by driving revenue growth through the dealer and contractor channel. You will support channel partners by providing targeted sales enablement, technical training alignment, and program compliance to ensure the successful execution of complex projects and promote effective representation of Lutron's hospitality solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of the hospitality construction cycle, stakeholder decision dynamics, and the ability to cultivate strong, high-level relationships with key project influencers including electrical contractors, owners, architects, and developers.
Your responsibilities encompass managing a regional sales pipeline, leading complex negotiations, and removing obstacles to project awards. In addition, you will manage, train, and develop the Caribbean HTI network, setting clear sales targets and accountability standards to drive partner success. You will also be pivotal in expanding Lutron's market presence by recruiting new partners, filling capability gaps, and representing the brand at key industry events. Success in this role depends on excellent collaboration with internal sales, specification, business development, and marketing teams to convert early design wins into profitable project execution.
This position requires frequent travel throughout the Caribbean, up to 50% or more, and fluency in English, with Spanish language skills preferred. Candidates should have a background of over five years in hospitality-focused or complex project-based sales, with experience in lighting controls, building automation, or smart building technologies being a strong advantage. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for territory travel, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Lutron welcomes qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
Joining Lutron means becoming part of a global leader dedicated to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction while enjoying excellent compensation, benefits, and opportunities for continued professional growth. This role offers a unique chance to influence the dynamic hospitality sector across the Caribbean and to contribute to Lutron’s continued success in a highly strategic capacity.
