Job Requirements
- California Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and understand written safety materials
- Friendly, upbeat attitude and guest-first mindset
- Physical ability to stand and walk most of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Friendly, upbeat attitude and guest-first mindset
- Previous hospitality or food and beverage experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and understand written safety materials
- Team spirit and willingness to help teammates
Job Duties
- Greet every guest with a smile and a friendly hello within 45 seconds of arrival
- Serve up personalized, attentive service that makes guests feel like VIPs
- Set up and maintain a clean, visually appealing breakfast or social hour area
- Check food for proper appearance, portion, and temperature, ensuring it is always guest-ready
- Clear tables, wipe spills, and keep public areas clean and inviting
- Handle food safely and follow all sanitation procedures in line with California health regulations
- Breakdown and clean the service area, return reusable food items to storage, and sanitize counters, floors, equipment, and utensils per hotel and CAL OSHA standards
- Respond quickly and kindly to guest requests, questions, or concerns
