Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
Ability to stand during entire shift
Medium work capability - exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, or 20 pounds frequently or constantly
Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
Effective listening and communication skills
Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag per brand standards
Comply with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Maintain a friendly and warm atmosphere
Be familiar with the hotel's standard operating procedures
Interact with all guests and employees in a courteous manner
Ensure the correct and timely setup of all breakfast order functions
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout food areas, pre-function spaces, storage areas, carpets, walls, walks, windows, and heating/air conditioning units
Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and follow all hotel safety rules
Breakdown after completion of functions and ensure all equipment and supplies are stored properly
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Prepare and serve the daily complimentary breakfast bar
Greet each guest and ensure their satisfaction
Keep breakfast area sufficiently stocked at all times
Ensure cleanliness of breakfast and common public areas
Clean and disinfect bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas
Vacuum floors and remove trash
Check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies according to hotel checklist
Notify maintenance department of needed repairs
Take found items to designated lost and found areas if guest has checked out
Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
