This healthcare facility is currently seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join their team as a Resident Support Assistant. This role involves working under the direction of a Charge Nurse, assisting with non-nursing, non-direct resident care duties. The position requires someone who is friendly and compassionate, with the ability to listen and effectively communicate. The Resident Support Assistant will be responsible for providing practical help and emotional support to residents, helping to maintain a positive environment throughout the facility.

The shifts for this role are 12 hours each, with options including a 6am to 6:30pm shift or a 6pm to 6:30am shift, allowing for flexibility depending on the candidate's preference. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by assisting with various daily tasks such as helping with food preparation, transporting residents within the facility, and supporting social activities.

In this role, the Resident Support Assistant will regularly visit with residents, engage them in conversation, and assist with basic non-clinical care needs. Responsibilities also include making unoccupied beds, handling soiled linens, cleaning tables and stands, and ensuring the safe storage of personal items. The assistant will facilitate activities, help transport residents to appointments and social programs, and perform additional duties as assigned.

This position requires a person with a pleasant and courteous manner who can follow oral and written instructions and complete simple records and reports under supervision.
