Job Description

JDM is an innovative hospitality company preparing to launch two exciting new concepts in the Woodland, California area, including a Beer Garden and a JDM Estate Tasting venue. These establishments are designed to offer exceptional guest experiences that highlight and promote JDM Estate wines and olive oils, which will be sold and featured prominently within both locations. JDM Estate is dedicated to creating beautifully crafted spaces where guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and connected to the brand story through immersive and retail-driven hospitality environments. The company's vision combines high-quality product offerings with thoughtfully designed service and operational standards to establish new destination venues in the region.

The Hospitality & Guest Experience Manager role at JDM is a unique opportunity for a hospitality professional to be part of the concept design, pre-opening preparation, and successful launch of these new venues. This role is not a traditional restaurant management position but rather one focused on alcohol-centered hospitality, guest experience innovation, and retail integrations. The manager will collaborate closely with ownership, marketing, construction, and operations teams to thoughtfully plan and implement guest flow, service areas, interior furnishings, signage, and overall hospitality standards. The role begins with a hybrid work schedule to help with planning and transitions to full-time on-site leadership as the launch date approaches.

An essential responsibility of this position includes shaping the customer journey from the moment guests arrive until they leave, ensuring a seamless, immersive, and on-brand experience that also supports retail sales of JDM Estate wines and olive oils. The Hospitality & Guest Experience Manager will assist with pre-opening staffing strategies, hiring processes, and training programs to build a capable and customer-focused team. The manager will also work closely with marketing on special events, activations, and guest experience opportunities, adding value to the brand and increasing engagement.

This role is ideal for an individual passionate about building and executing distinctive hospitality experiences, has a strong understanding of alcohol beverage environments, and enjoys working in evolving, collaborative team settings. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States, located within commuting distance of Woodland, CA, or willing to commute regularly. No visa sponsorship is available. If you are motivated by the challenge of creating something innovative from the ground up and want to play a pivotal role in launching high-profile hospitality destinations, this position offers an exciting career path with an established brand in a growing market.

Job Requirements

  • Applicants must currently live in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No current or future visa sponsorship is available for this position
  • Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Woodland, CA, or be willing to commute to Woodland regularly from the start

Job Qualifications

  • Background in hospitality, tasting rooms, wine-focused guest experience, alcohol beverage hospitality, or a related field
  • Experience opening or helping launch a hospitality, wine, bar, or guest experience concept preferred
  • Strong understanding of guest flow, service design, and hospitality operations
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams in an evolving environment

Job Duties

  • Support the planning and development of the Beer Garden and the JDM Estate Tasting venue concept
  • Help define guest flow, service areas, hospitality standards, furnishings, signage, and the overall customer experience
  • Provide input during the planning and build-out phase to help ensure the spaces are functional, welcoming, and operationally sound
  • Assist in pre-opening planning, staffing strategy, hiring, and training development
  • Work with marketing on events, activations, launches, and guest experience opportunities
