Job Description
The Hickman Center is a vital community hub dedicated to supporting families and individuals through a variety of services, events, and meetings designed to enhance wellbeing and foster connection. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 or older
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to drive company vehicle
- No felony convictions or criminal offenses involving a child
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service, and people skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Capacity for physical activities such as setting up tables and lifting at least 10 lbs
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of relevant work experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and filing systems
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Ability to manage a multi-line phone system
Job Duties
- Schedule and manage events and meetings at the Hickman Center
- Fill in as Welcome Center receptionist as needed
- Greet and communicate with visitors, vendors, board members, and staff
- Answer multi-line phones professionally, screen calls, transfer, and take messages
- Manage calendars, room reservations, and staff contact lists
- Maintain security databases and handle confidential information
- Support the Hospitality and Events Manager with special projects and event logistics
