Job Description
The Grand America and The Little America are two iconic luxury hotels located in the heart of Salt Lake City, renowned for their exceptional service, elegant interiors, and beautifully landscaped gardens. These properties set the standard for hospitality in the Intermountain West and are celebrated for their award-winning dining experiences and refined amenities. Both hotels pride themselves on creating memorable guest experiences through attention to detail, genuine care, and personalized service. This dedication to excellence ensures an environment where guests feel valued and at home, making these properties a preferred destination for discerning travelers seeking luxury accommodations and impeccable service.
The Hospitality Ambassador role at The Grand America and The Little America is a highly prestigious and impactful position, designed to serve as the personal host and primary point of contact for the most valued VIP guests. This role requires a professional who is compassionate, attentive, and proactive, ensuring that every guest’s stay is not only comfortable but also unforgettable. Ambassadors are involved from the moment of a VIP guest's pre-arrival until departure, working closely with multiple departments such as Convention Services, Catering, Sales, Executive, and various operational teams. They anticipate needs before they are expressed and ensure that every interaction embodies the highest standard of hospitality.
The role centers around the little touches that transform a visit into a lasting memory. Ambassadors are responsible for arranging and overseeing the delivery of amenities and welcome gifts, coordinating special requests, and planning celebrations for significant milestones like birthdays, anniversaries, and proposals. They meticulously inspect VIP guest rooms and public areas to verify readiness ahead of arrival and stay thoroughly informed about current rates, packages, promotions, in-house groups, and VIP arrivals across both properties. This comprehensive awareness ensures that Ambassadors provide seamless, personalized service tailored to each guest’s preferences.
Hospitality Ambassadors also manage front-of-house duties including guest arrival and departure procedures, proficient billing, guest resolution, and dispatching requests for housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering, and other services. In addition, they serve as a concierge with extensive knowledge of local attractions, dining, transportation, and shopping, as well as assisting in bell operations such as luggage handling and valet services. They are committed to upholding professional grooming and appearance standards that align with the luxury experience of both hotels.
Working as a Hospitality Ambassador at these premier destinations offers a unique opportunity for career growth within the luxury hospitality industry. The company emphasizes real growth and leadership development, investing in team members and fostering a culture of respect, support, and recognition. The Ambassador’s role is not just a support function; rather, it is integral to the guest experience, contributing significantly to building lasting relationships and ensuring guests return year after year. Joining the team means becoming part of a family that values dedication, exceptional service, and a one team, one dream culture focused on excellence and meaningful connections.
