The Hospitality Aide role is vital within the organization's care framework, designed to enhance the daily living experience of residents by providing essential non-clinical support. This position involves assisting nursing services with tasks such as bed-making, passing water and ice, and responding to call lights, ensuring that residents' needs are met promptly and efficiently. Additionally, the Hospitality Aide plays a key role in meal preparation and delivery, promoting hygiene and dietary safety, while encouraging residents to participate in social activities that foster a positive and engaging living environment. Maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas is crucial to the role, as it helps create a welcoming and safe space for everyone. Laundry assistance and adherence to safety and compliance standards are also important duties.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bed-making, delivering meals, and cleaning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Must be dependable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Support nursing services with non-clinical tasks like bed-making, passing water and ice, answering call lights, and gathering supplies
  • Assist with meals by preparing, delivering, and cleaning up following dietary guidelines and safety standards
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and social programs to support a positive living environment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas to ensure safety
  • Provide laundry assistance to residents as needed
  • Follow patient bill of rights, employee responsibilities, and all safety policies and procedures
  • Observe and promptly report concerns, safety issues, or conditions requiring management or nursing attention
  • Perform additional non-clinical duties to support daily facility operations as needed
