The Cashier role at Towne Park is an integral part of the guest experience, responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenues while providing exceptional hospitality services. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor to immediately acknowledge and greet guests, treating them with respect and courtesy. The role involves operating registers, gates, and credit card machines, accurately processing payments by cash, credit, or direct billing, and categorizing tickets for audit purposes. A Cashier must maintain composure and accuracy under pressure, use proper phone etiquette, and assist guests with directions and information about the facility and local attractions. This position operates within established procedures and standards to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
Towne Park offers the Cashier role with an hourly base pay of $18, scheduled Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Employees in this position are eligible for various insurance benefits including accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage, along with telemedicine services and participation in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and often involves working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Job Duties
- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledges and greets guests immediately while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
- Addresses guests using last names when appropriate
- Treats guests and associates with courtesy, respect and dignity
- Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure
- Appropriately uses the salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
- Uses proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Assists guests with directions and all other inquiries
- Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Determines guest charges and processes payments via cash, credit, or direct billing
- Accurately categorizes tickets for audit purposes
- Collects and reconciles revenue accurately and furnishes payment receipts
- Completes accurate and timely shift reports
- Follows all standard operating procedures related to cash banks
- Operates equipment, including registers, gates, and credit card machines
- Obtains information about daily events and rates to be charged
- Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Lead Cashier/Account Manager
