The available role is for a Guest Service Associate, a vital position responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality services to guests. This role entails engaging with guests in a warm and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. The Guest Service Associate is primarily tasked with parking and retrieving guest vehicles carefully and safely, assisting with luggage handling, and responding to various guest inquiries regarding the property and local amenities. This role offers an hourly pay range of $11 to $12, supplemented by additional tips ranging from $5 to $10 per hour, reflecting the importance of customer service skills and attentiveness.
The position features a flexible work schedule that may include both morning and evening shifts, catering to operational needs and guest volumes. Individuals in this role must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, a courteous demeanor, and a proactive approach to guest service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal services principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to guests and employees
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple English instructions
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group contexts
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American money units
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates based on time elapsed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Greet guests within five feet with professional and friendly demeanor using guest last names
- Use appropriate salutations and welcome guests upon arrival
- Practice proper phone etiquette and post in designated areas when idle
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely while driving cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxi services, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about venue outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon guest arrival
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when necessary
