The Guest Service Associate at Towne Park plays a vital role in providing exceptional hospitality services. This job is hourly-based with an hourly base pay of $12 plus tips and typically involves working flexible AM/PM shifts. The primary responsibility is to create a welcoming and professional environment for guests while promptly and safely managing their vehicles. The associate is responsible for greeting guests warmly within five feet of approach while using polite salutations and addressing guests by their last names to create a more personalized experience. Duties include parking and retrieving vehicles cautiously, assisting with luggage handling, opening doors, and providing directions or information about local amenities and attractions. Additionally, associates handle administrative tasks such as issuing claim checks, tracking vehicle information, completing damage surveys, processing payments, and ensuring that all procedures adhere to company policies for smooth operations.
Throughout the day, the Guest Service Associate maintains professionalism by posting in designated areas when not actively attending to guests and practicing appropriate phone etiquette. They deliver messages and items to guests when requested and shuttle guests to approved locations when needed. The role requires physical stamina as work is primarily performed outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions including heat and cold. Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and performing activities such as running, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are part of the role's physical demands. Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to perform manual vehicle operation safely
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Availability to work AM/PM shifts
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations involving money
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using last names and professional salutations
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously following safety guidelines
- Assist guests with luggage handling, bell services, and door operations
- Provide information and assistance regarding directions, taxis, reservations, and local amenities
- Issue claim checks upon vehicle receipt and collect them upon retrieval
- Complete and maintain accurate ticket, key tag, guest folio, damage survey and revenue data
