The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is an essential position responsible for providing outstanding hospitality services with a friendly, attentive, and efficient approach. This role involves the safe and prompt parking and retrieval of guest vehicles, offering assistance with luggage handling, and ensuring seamless communication and coordination during guest arrivals and departures. Operating on a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the hourly base pay starts at $11.50, with additional cash tips potentially raising total compensation to between $16 and $20 per hour. This position offers an opportunity for those who enjoy engaging directly with guests and contributing positively to their experience in various settings such as hospitals, hotels, and public venues.

In this role, employees are expected to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times, greeting guests warmly and using their last names to personalize interactions. Responsibilities include managing vehicle parking with caution, assisting guests with bell services, and accurately handling parking ticket information and revenue collection. Employees also support guests by providing directions, information about local amenities and attractions, and assisting with reservations or transportation needs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for state or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money units
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Availability for Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm full-time work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applied to work or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including money calculations
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
  • Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks after receiving keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
