This Receptionist role at Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a crucial front-line position responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors and patients. The receptionist will greet and direct guests with courtesy while managing the facility's switchboard operations efficiently and professionally. Additionally, the role involves performing admission registration processes, posting charges accurately, and handling various clerical tasks that support the smooth operation of the hospital's administrative functions. This part-time position requires the availability to work every Thursday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with the possibility of additional shifts as needed. The hospital is conveniently located on the south side of Grand Rapids at 6291 Venture Hills Boulevard SW, Byron Center, Michigan. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to make responsible decisions in accordance with hospital policy. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Accurate typing skills
  • Previous office experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make independent, responsible decisions upholding hospital policy
  • Availability to work every Thursday from 7am to 7:30pm
  • Ability to pick up additional shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Cordially greet and receive facility guests
  • Direct visitors and manage access to appropriate hospital areas
  • Operate the facility switchboard professionally and courteously
  • Perform admission registration process accurately
  • Post charges related to patient admissions
  • Carry out various clerical duties to support hospital administration
  • Maintain patient and visitor confidentiality and comply with hospital policies
