Currently, Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Hospital Food Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day retail dining operations at the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) in Sitka, Alaska. This is a full-time position where relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. The Hospital Food Service Manager plays a critical leadership role by managing all aspects of retail food service operations, ensuring that guests receive a high-quality dining experience that aligns with both client expectations and Aramark's standards. The role requires overseeing food safety compliance, customer service excellence, merchandising strategies, and financial performance management.
In this key position, the Hospital Food Service Manager will lead a team focused on operational efficiency and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities include implementing Aramark’s coaching model to engage and develop team members, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, managing profit and loss, and operationalizing processes and performance metrics to improve margins. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of food service leadership experience
- 1-3 years of experience in supervisor or management role
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lb
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate customer service excellence

Job Duties

- Ensures safety and sanitation standards in all operations
- Maintains effective client and customer rapport
- Identifies client needs and communicates operational progress
- Ensures the completion and maintenance of profit and loss statements

- Supervises team regarding production, quality and control

- Manages food service at an assigned retail food location
- Assists in ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving food and related products
- Ensures sanitation and safety compliance
- Directly supervises two or more employees managing hiring, discipline, and reviews
- Assists in location forecast and accounting
- Conducts periodic inventory and maintains compliance records
- Coordinates with other departments
- Interfaces with vendors and key clients
- Manages front of house dining operations
- Develops and implements retail service plans
- Maintains interdepartmental relationships for a unified experience
