Job Description

The Admission Guest Services Associate role is a key position within a hospital environment, focused on delivering exceptional service to patients, their families, and visitors. This role is vital in providing a warm welcome and smooth transition for everyone entering the healthcare facility. The hospital where this position is based values compassion, professionalism, and efficiency, creating a supportive and organized environment for patients during their visits.

This healthcare facility is committed to maintaining a patient-centered approach that prioritizes comfort, safety, and respect. As a reputable hospital known for its comprehensive medical services including diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical departments, it is essential that all guests feel guided and supported throughout their stay. The hospital’s mission includes enhancing patient experiences not only through medical care but also through outstanding hospitality and guest services.

The Admission Guest Services Associate works within a multifaceted capacity, rotating between roles such as Concierge, Information desk personnel, and Patient escort. This rotation ensures that all areas of guest services are consistently addressed with the highest level of professionalism. The schedule for this role is Sunday through Tuesday from 9am to 9pm, and Wednesday from 9am to 3pm, allowing ample time to engage with guests and manage patient flow effectively.

In this role, the associate is expected to provide clear and accurate information regarding hospital layout, key departments, clinics, diagnostic areas, treatment rooms, and other essential services. Their knowledge of the hospital’s infrastructure supports the ease of patient movement, which is critical in a fast-paced medical setting. The ability to remain calm and demonstrate composed decision-making during periods of pressure is one of the most important aspects of this role, providing reassurance to patients and families in times of uncertainty.

Moreover, the associate will employ hospital management software and digital tools to track visitor requests, manage appointments, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes. Being tech-savvy aids in enhancing the overall efficiency and accuracy of guest services. Problem-solving and multitasking are daily demands of the position, emphasizing the importance of organizational skills.

Physical capabilities are also required, as the associate will assist in maneuvering transport equipment and safely escorting patients to various locations within the hospital. This responsibility includes ensuring the safe handling of patients’ personal belongings and working closely with medical and security teams during emergencies to uphold safety protocols.

Bilingual abilities are preferred, though not mandatory, as this enables better communication with a diverse patient population. The hospital fosters an inclusive environment where empathy, patience, and customer service excellence are fundamental values.
