The Horseshoe Event Center is a premier venue specializing in hosting both public and corporate events, offering a versatile and well-equipped space designed to meet diverse event needs. The role being offered is for an Event Staff Member who will play a critical support function during the setup, execution, and breakdown of events at the Horseshoe Event Center.

The Event Staff Member will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the proper setup and arrangement of the venue and event-related equipment. This includes handling staging, chairs, tables, audio-visual and lighting technology, and cleaning operations, working closely with the Event Staff Supervisor and management team. The position demands strong organizational skills to follow setup diagrams and manage multiple duties assigned by the supervisor. Additionally, the Event Staff Member must complete all necessary documentation, such as work logs, material usage records, and post-event reports, to provide transparent and detailed accounts of work performed. This role also requires a commitment to safety, including ensuring compliance with fire codes and venue policies, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment throughout events.

Candidates for this role must show a willingness to learn and adapt, possessing critical thinking skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Communication skills, both written and oral, are essential as the role includes providing information to event attendees and liaising with co-workers and lessees.
