Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton is a globally renowned luxury hospitality brand under Marriott International, known for delivering exceptional guest experiences and setting the standard for rare and special luxury service worldwide. With more than 100 award-winning properties, The Ritz-Carlton team is composed of the world’s top hospitality professionals who are dedicated to curating lifelong memories for guests. The company values creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion, empowering employees to excel in providing gracious and thoughtful service. The Ritz-Carlton is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences are celebrated. They maintain a steadfast commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity employment, embracing a supportive workplace culture that drives success through collaboration and respect.

This position involves facilitating positive guest experiences specifically through the management and maintenance of the in-room honor bar. The role requires the individual to inventory honor bar items, in-room accessories, and promotional materials regularly, ensuring that supplies are replenished as needed to maintain optimal availability and presentation. Maintaining cleanliness and the attractive appearance of each honor bar is an essential aspect of this job, as it directly contributes to the quality of the guest experience. Employees will utilize software and hand-held devices to record sales accurately, conduct inventory checks, and monitor product availability in real-time. A keen awareness of product expiration dates and inventory levels is critical to prevent stock-out situations, thereby sustaining consistent service standards.

The responsibilities extend to preparing a restocking cart and efficiently moving it to floors where rooms are ready for inventory, responding promptly to guest requests related to the honor bar, and communicating any operational issues with hotel management. The role also entails adherence to the company's safety and security policies, including reporting safety incidents and completing mandatory training and certifications. Personal appearance and professionalism must be maintained at all times to uphold the prestigious brand reputation. Confidentiality of proprietary information and protection of company assets are mandatory components of the job.

Candidates will engage with guests courteously, ensuring that all interactions reflect The Ritz-Carlton’s commitment to exceptional service through welcoming gestures, anticipating guest needs, and expressing genuine appreciation. Employees must meet established quality standards and work cohesively with the team to achieve shared goals. Strong communication skills are vital for clear, professional dialogue with colleagues and guests, along with the ability to read and verify information in various formats. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods during shifts, and the capability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Navigating confined spaces, stairs, and service ramps safely is also part of the job requirements.

This opportunity is perfect for individuals who possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency, with no prior work or supervisory experience required, making it ideal for those starting their career in luxury hospitality. By joining The Ritz-Carlton, employees become part of an esteemed portfolio within Marriott International, embarking on a journey where they can do their best work, discover their purpose, belong to a global team, and become the best version of themselves.
