Job Description

Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza University is a premier extended-stay hotel located in the beautiful Catalina foothills of Tucson, Arizona, just a short distance from the University of Arizona's main campus. This hotel places travelers conveniently near local sporting events, cultural attractions, and excellent shopping and dining experiences. Among the local highlights is the weekend Farmer's Market, the largest market in Southern Arizona dedicated to locally grown products. The hotel aims to provide guests with comfort and convenience by offering spacious suites equipped with complimentary internet access, separate living and dining areas, and fully functional kitchens including a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and two-burner stove.

The Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor role at Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza University is vital for maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This supervisory position is responsible for assisting in the administration and coordination of housekeeping functions within assigned hotel sections. The Assistant Supervisor ensures that guest rooms meet cleanliness and maintenance standards, by inspecting rooms regularly and providing support and guidance to Room Attendants. Additionally, this role involves training housekeeping staff to uphold the hotel's quality expectations and service orientation.

In the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor assumes full responsibilities of the position, ensuring seamless oversight of housekeeping operations. The role demands a proactive approach in supervising staff performance, managing daily housekeeping assignments, monitoring cleanliness and orderliness of supplies and equipment, and maintaining key control systems. The Assistant Supervisor is also tasked with handling lost and found items, coordinating maintenance and repair work orders, and fostering a positive work environment through motivation, coaching, and counseling of staff.

This full-time position offers a competitive benefits package that includes daily pay, medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and accident insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. The opportunity to contribute to an esteemed hospitality brand while enhancing guests' experience in a dynamic setting makes this role ideal for motivated candidates with supervisory experience in housekeeping or related fields.
