Situated in the vibrant Midway neighborhood, this establishment offers a range of residential options including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Hospice services. The current opportunity is for a full-time Homemaker/Housekeeper to join the In-Home Personal Care (IPC) team. This role is integral to Episcopal Homes' mission of delivering exceptional care and services directly to seniors in their homes. Working within this capacity, the Homemaker/Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and healthful living environment for residents. They will perform a variety of housekeeping duties adhering to established cleaning policies and procedures, ensuring safety, hygiene, and the overall wellbeing of those they serve. The wage for this position ranges from $19.00 to $21.50 per hour, with flexible shifts available to accommodate various schedules, emphasizing a day shift focus.

In addition to cleaning tasks, this role provides meaningful engagement through companionship and support, enhancing the social and emotional well-being of residents. The Homemaker/Housekeeper also assists with light meal preparation and personal laundry services, highlighting the comprehensive support offered to promote the residents’ comfort and independence. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including crouching, kneeling, and twisting

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and client needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and ethical approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with other personnel, supervisors, and registered nurses
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English required to ensure safe patient care, accurately document in medical records, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and the care team

Job Duties

  • Follow established cleaning policies and procedures
  • Perform housekeeping duties in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Complete personal laundry for residents
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain housekeeping equipment and return it to proper storage locations
