Way Finders is currently seeking a full-time Homelessness Prevention Services (HPS) Manager to join their dedicated team. This managerial role plays a crucial part in the overall mission of the organization by supervising and administering housing center teams across several locations. The primary goal is to assess and support clients facing housing challenges and provide them with high-quality customer service, support, and guidance. The HPS Manager will oversee teams responsible for offering face-to-face assistance, answering calls and emails in busy call centers, initiating housing applications, and educating clients and staff on appropriate programs.
The successful candidate will combine experience in social or housing services with a background in fast-paced customer service environments, including supervisory experience. The role requires leadership skills to manage multiple teams, maintain positive relationships with clients, landlords, and community partners, and monitor program compliance and data integrity. The manager will also assist the Director in overseeing funding sources and contribute to strategic improvements that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Working in a hybrid-remote arrangement, the HPS Manager must reside within a commutable distance to effectively manage multiple housing centers on a rotating basis. The position offers a competitive salary range between $60,000 and $68,000 based on qualifications. Job Requirements
- 5 years' progressively responsible experience in housing, social services, or related role
- 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
- prior management in a customer service environment preferred
- adept at Microsoft Suite including Excel and basic data analysis
- ability to organize and prioritize work
- skill writing policies and interpreting program regulations
- effective communication skills
- bilingual Spanish/English verbal and written skills
- driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle
- CORI as per grant requirement
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- experience in social services or housing services
- supervisory experience
- prior management in customer service preferred
- adept at Microsoft Suite including Excel and basic data analysis

Job Duties
- Supervise staff in several housing centers that are tasked with face-to-face customer service, answering calls and emails in busy call centers, initiating applications, and educating clients and appropriate staff on programs
- Conduct regular, focused team and 1:1 meetings with staff
- work out of each location on a rotating basis and as needed
- Maintain positive relationships with customer base including clients, landlords, and provider community
- Monitor, audit, and analyze services data to ensure real-time data entry, accuracy, contractual compliance, goal setting, and program compliance
- submit reports including suggestions for improvements to Director
- Assist Director in monitoring funding sources awarded to the department
- Proactively identify and inform management of any issues that may adversely affect the department or organization
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal staff, landlords, community groups, funding sources, and stakeholders
- Represent the organization in community and social services meetings, events, and outreach presentations
- Remain knowledgeable of current and developing trends within homelessness prevention and related areas
- Hire new and replacement staff following recruiting process guidelines
- Set effective training plans for new staff members and evaluate process improvements
- Provide timely feedback on performance-related matters and implement performance plans
- Supervise Housing Resource Advisors, Homelessness Prevention Advisors, other program staff, and temporary workers
