Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Physical Therapist Assistant supports patient recovery by administering a variety of therapeutic treatments as prescribed by licensed Physical Therapists. These treatments may include manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, and the use of heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities. This position requires the PTA to have a solid understanding of physical therapy techniques, excellent clinical documentation skills, effective communication with healthcare teams, and a compassionate approach to patient care. The PTA is responsible not only for treatment delivery but also for monitoring patient progress, documenting clinical records promptly, and addressing any equipment or supply needs. A foundational knowledge of the geriatric population’s physical, emotional, social, and biological changes is vital to successfully engaging patients and tailoring interventions to their individual abilities and limitations. \n\nThis is a full-time position, typically scheduled for 40 hours per week, with compensation offered on a pay-per-visit basis ranging from $41.00 to $57.00, translating to an estimated annual salary of $64,000 to $87,500.
