Job Description

Sevita is a nationally recognized leader in providing home and community-based specialized health care services. For more than 50 years, Sevita has been committed to helping individuals with physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges live fuller, more independent lives. With a dedicated team of over 40,000 professionals, Sevita supports around 50,000 individuals throughout the United States, delivering compassionate, high-quality, and individualized care designed to enhance growth and independence. Sevita’s core mission is to empower people in need by offering innovative and personalized services that promote well-being and self-reliance within their communities.

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a proud member of the Sevita family, is a specialized adult day care provider that focuses on serving elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. MENTOR offers comprehensive day programs that allow seniors to receive quality health care while remaining actively engaged in their community. These programs are operated by licensed nurses and professional caregivers who are experienced and trained to provide tailored assistance to each participant. The emphasis is on enabling seniors to continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes while benefiting from essential medical, rehabilitative, and social support services.

The Home Health Aide (HHA) position at MENTOR offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily living in their own homes. Located in Worcester and surrounding areas, this role provides flexible working hours tailored to the availability of the aide, offering an ideal balance of independence and support from the larger Sevita team. The position offers a competitive wage of $19 per hour plus mileage reimbursement, reflecting the value placed on dedicated caregivers.

Home Health Aides are frontline caregivers who provide compassionate, one-on-one assistance with various activities of daily living. This includes tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, and light housekeeping duties. HHAs build strong, trusting relationships with the individuals they support, ensuring that each client’s home environment is safe, clean, and conducive to their health and comfort. Additionally, HHAs are responsible for monitoring health conditions, documenting services provided, and sometimes assisting with errands or grocery shopping.

This role requires a compassionate, reliable individual with strong communication skills who is comfortable working independently in clients’ homes and using mobile devices for documentation. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential due to the travel involved. This position suits those who want to make a real difference in people’s lives by supporting their ability to remain safely in their homes while maintaining dignity and independence.

Joining Sevita means becoming part of a supportive team environment focused on meaningful care. Employees benefit from flexible scheduling, competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and innovative payment options such as Dayforce Wallet, which allows aides to receive pay promptly after working. Additional benefits include paid time off, holiday pay eligibility, employee referral bonuses, and access to discounts through the "Perks at Work" program. Through this role, individuals can build a rewarding career with opportunities for growth in a nationally respected healthcare provider with a deep commitment to improving the quality of life for those they serve.
