Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of caregiving or home health aide experience
- Valid driver’s license and insured automobile
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Capacity to perform physical tasks related to caregiving
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Commitment to client-centered care
- Flexible availability for part-time shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED certificate preferred
- Three years of experience as a Caregiver or Home Health Aide in healthcare settings such as homes or facilities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as required for the job
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have an insured automobile
- Demonstrated compassion and professionalism in caregiving roles
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Perform personal care activities including hygiene assistance, ambulation or transfers, eating, dressing, and shaving
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments
- Perform housekeeping activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms
- Provide patient-specific care taught by nursing staff including medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, measuring and preparing special diets, understanding dementia care, and incontinence care
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
