Job Description

Our property is a brand new hotel situated in the vibrant heart of Silicon Valley, specifically in Hayward, California. Positioned approximately 25 miles from San Francisco, 14 miles from Oakland, 26 miles from San Jose, and 10 miles from Pleasanton, our hotel benefits from its convenient proximity to major cities and hubs. Hayward itself is a bustling region, hosting California State University, East Bay, alongside a multitude of manufacturing and high-tech companies. This geographic advantage combined with the region's natural beauty—from its lush green hills to the scenic bay—makes our hotel an ideal location for business and leisure travelers alike. We provide super-fast, complimentary internet access and a generous complimentary breakfast as part of our commitment to excellent hospitality. As a component of a global company managing over 800 hotels worldwide, we embrace a rich diversity in our workforce and a people-first approach that guides our operations and culture.

At our hotel, team spirit is fundamental. We operate under a team-oriented ethos captured by our motto "we think as we, not I," fostering collaboration, mutual support, and continuous improvement. Daily Stand-up Meetings enable us to celebrate successes, acknowledge employee achievements, and brainstorm innovative ways to enhance guest service. This cohesive culture helps us achieve our shared commitment to crafting unforgettable guest experiences. Additionally, we offer comprehensive training programs including online courses, management apprenticeships, and leadership development initiatives, ensuring our employees have ample opportunities for professional growth and success.

The role of the Front Desk Agent is pivotal to our guest experience, acting as the welcoming face of the hotel and the hospitality ambassador from check-in to check-out. This position requires a balance of customer service excellence and operational efficiency. Front Desk Agents are skilled at warmly greeting guests, managing reservations, processing check-ins and check-outs swiftly, and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns with a friendly, solution-oriented approach. The role demands multitasking capabilities to manage varied at-desk duties including handling financial transactions, coordinating with other departments, and troubleshooting unexpected challenges smoothly.

Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver top-tier customer service consistently, maintain clear and effective communication with guests and team members, and adapt quickly to dynamic situations within a busy hospitality environment. As a Front Desk Agent, you will help transform first impressions into lasting memories that encourage repeat visits and positive reviews. The position is full-time with eligibility for a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period. Benefits include daily pay options, medical, dental and vision coverage, disability income protections, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. If you are passionate about hospitality and looking for a supportive workplace where you can grow professionally while making a meaningful impact on guests’ stays, this is your opportunity to thrive.
