We are currently seeking an Executive Chef who will be the creative and operational leader of our culinary team. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary aspects of the property including our cafe, room service, banquets, and other food outlets. This position demands a passionate and talented culinary expert who can inspire and lead kitchen personnel while maintaining impeccable standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in food preparation and management within the hotel or hospitality industry, coupled with the ability to manage budgets, food costs, and ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations.

The Executive Chef will have the exciting responsibility of transforming raw ingredients into culinary masterpieces that delight guests and exceed expectations. Creativity in menu development, proficiency in handling high-pressure kitchen operations, and leadership skills to motivate and ensure staff efficiency are crucial components of this role. The individual must excel in communication, problem-solving, and fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork and high service standards.

Job Requirements

  • Two-year college degree with at least three years of related experience or four-year college degree with a minimum of one year of related experience
  • Five years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field including supervisory experience
  • Ability to handle stressful high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity
  • Must meet certification requirements which may include Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness CPR and First Aid

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise and assist in food preparation ensuring high standards of quality taste and presentation across all outlets while maintaining safety expectations
  • Lead motivate coach and discipline kitchen personnel to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and service
  • Manage food costs budgets and maximize cost production ratios to optimize financial performance
  • Maintain cleanliness sanitation and safety in the kitchen work and storage areas adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Anticipate and address issues proactively to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Clearly convey information and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively
