Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • willingness to learn and follow Phil's BBQ cooking and plating standards
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and follow safety regulations
  • reliable and punctual
  • strong work ethic and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment strongly preferred
  • knowledge of cooking techniques for meat and vegetables
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • strong attention to detail especially in plating and presentation
  • good teamwork and communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meats vegetables and other hot food products
  • determine portion food products prior to cooking
  • ensure final plate preparation aligns with Phil's way including plating and garnishing
  • prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates
  • participate in the tip pool
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
