The role of Lobby Attendant at InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of the hotel’s public areas, which significantly contributes to guest satisfaction and repeat visits. The successful candidate will join a dedicated housekeeping team and will play the "Heart of the House" role by ensuring all public spaces including bathrooms, lounges, hallways, and floor pantries are meticulously cleaned and stocked. This position requires individuals who have great attention to detail, a pleasant personality, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Lobby Attendants assist room attendants during super cleaning or spring cleaning and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness according to department procedures. The position is a regular, full-time role offering competitive pay at $24 per hour with a four-day workweek including daytime shifts and weekends.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus
  • ability to maintain physical stamina for standing and walking during shifts

Job Duties

  • work as a team to accomplish the goal of lobby cleanliness
  • walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen
  • pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry
  • ensure cleanliness of all public areas to include bathrooms, lounge areas and hallways
  • help the room attendants with the heavy lifting when super cleaning or spring cleaning of rooms
  • clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures
  • remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner
  • always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other team members
