The role of HNN Sports Tech Manager / Engineer at Hawaii News Now, a division of Gray Media, is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of live sports broadcasting in Hawaii. This full-time role, with a salary range of $55,000 to $75,000 per year and a Monday through Friday schedule (or other shifts at the manager's discretion), places the incumbent at the core of sports productions and live broadcasts. The Sports Tech Manager acts as a key technical steward for Hawaii News Now’s live sports events, ensuring seamless execution, robust communication, and reliable technical systems to deliver high-quality productions.

In this role, the individual will manage complex live broadcast setups, troubleshoot technical issues in high-pressure environments, and coordinate effectively with producers, directors, engineers, operations teams, and sports personnel. This position demands an experienced engineer who combines strong technical skills with a collaborative and solution-oriented attitude, thriving amid the fast-paced nature of live sports production. As a pivotal live production partner, the Sports Tech Manager will oversee broadcast equipment, workflows, communication systems, signal paths, and transmission logistics.
