Job Requirements
- Be 18 plus years old
- Have reliable transportation either by car or public transit
- Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday to Friday with availability between 7 am to 7 pm or 8 am to 8 pm
- Demonstrate reliability, engagement, and proactivity
- Willingness to play, read, craft, and participate in activities with kids
- Provide companionship, conversation, and light assistance to seniors
- Comfortable working as a W2 employee with payroll taxes and workers comp coverage
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 plus years of combined experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, senior care, or similar caregiving roles
- Ability to engage children and seniors in meaningful activities
- Strong communication skills with families and team members
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of safety and caregiving best practices
- Proficient with technology such as mobile apps for scheduling
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Provide engaging childcare including playing games, reading stories, and crafting
- Offer warm companionship and support to seniors including light household tasks and outings
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with families about care needs and client progress
- Utilize the My Jovie App to accept bookings and manage schedules
- Demonstrate reliability, proactivity, and positive energy in all caregiving assignments
- Participate in community events and trainings to enhance caregiving skills
