Job Description
Jovie BOSTON is a vibrant and compassionate caregiving organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and seniors throughout the Boston metropolitan area and its surrounding suburbs. As a trusted provider of high-quality in-home care, Jovie BOSTON focuses on delivering personalized support with a heart, aiming to enrich the daily experiences of families and seniors with dependable, empathetic, and fun caregiving professionals. Operating as a franchise, Jovie BOSTON covers an extensive service area that includes Boston itself, notable suburbs like Lowell, Braintree, the North End, Framingham, plus stretches into Rhode Island and New Hampshire, thus bringing its valuable services to a broad community in need of compassionate help. This wide geographic reach allows caregivers to connect with diverse families and seniors, offering invaluable companionship and support that enhances quality of life. Jovie BOSTON is currently hiring both full-time and part-time caregivers who are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to take on the rewarding challenge of caregiving. The company prides itself on its flexible, caregiver-centric approach, placing power over scheduling into the hands of their staff through the innovative My Jovie App. This app supports caregivers in managing their own availability and selecting shifts that best fit their lifestyles, reinforcing Jovie's commitment to work-life balance and ensuring a manageable and enjoyable work experience. Caregivers at Jovie BOSTON enjoy a supportive community through an active online network and regular gatherings, which foster connections and create a sense of belonging within the team. The company also ensures that caregivers are never alone on the job by providing reliable, round-the-clock support. Those hired by Jovie BOSTON are employed as W2 employees, receiving benefits such as payroll management, tax handling, workers' compensation coverage, and accrued sick time. This professional employment setup eliminates hassle and grants peace of mind, highlighting Jovie BOSTON's dedication to its workforce's well-being. The role of caregiver here is multifaceted and deeply impactful, encompassing childcare and senior care duties that demand engagement, kindness, creativity, and dependability. Whether you're the spirited kid-whisperer who turns rainy days into fun-filled adventures or the calm, comforting senior companion who assists with light tasks and companionship, Jovie BOSTON values your unique abilities and heart. This position requires caregivers to be proactive and hands-on, participating in activities ranging from playing games and reading stories with children to helping seniors with errands, social outings, and simple household tasks. Candidates should have a minimum of two years combined experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, senior care, or similar roles and must be available to commit at least 20 hours per week during flexible daytime hours. Reliable transportation—by car or public transit—is also mandatory, given the job's on-the-road nature. The starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour, reflecting Jovie BOSTON's competitive stance in rewarding caregivers for their dedication and skill. By joining Jovie BOSTON, caregivers become part of a dynamic, community-oriented team devoted to transforming caregiving from mere work into an uplifting daily adventure filled with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt connections. This is not just a job; it's a chance to be an everyday hero in the lives of others while enjoying autonomy, support, and meaningful rewards every day.
