Job Description

Jovie BOSTON is a dedicated caregiving company specializing in providing compassionate and reliable care services for children and seniors across Boston and its surrounding suburbs, including Rhode Island and New Hampshire. As a franchise, Jovie BOSTON is part of a larger network of caregiving franchises but operates independently to meet the specific needs of its community with a strong local presence from Lowell to Braintree and the North End to Framingham. The organization prides itself on its mission to create a supportive and joyful environment not only for the families and seniors it serves but also for its team members. As a W2 employer, Jovie BOSTON offers employees benefits such as accrued sick time, workers' compensation coverage, and reliable payroll handling, emphasizing a commitment to both employee well-being and professional growth.

The role with Jovie BOSTON involves working as a caregiver, where you can become an everyday hero by making a meaningful difference in the lives of kids and seniors. This position is ideal for compassionate, proactive, and fun professionals who want to contribute to their community by providing excellent personalized care. Whether your strengths lie in childcare or senior companionship, there is an opportunity to join the team either on a full-time or part-time basis. The flexibility of the role is one of its greatest benefits, allowing caregivers to use the innovative My Jovie app to set their schedules according to their availability, promoting work-life balance and autonomy. Overtime is unlimited and compensated with time and a half for hours worked beyond 40 per week, supporting those who want to earn more while continuing to help others.

Jovie BOSTON encourages a vibrant workplace culture with strong community connections among coworkers, frequent social gatherings, and a reliable support system available seven days a week. Caregivers enjoy independence by working in different homes but never feel isolated due to the backing of a dependable team. The job involves flexible hours predominantly between 7 am to 7 pm or 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, with typical shift lengths of eight hours to accommodate varied lifestyles. The role is perfect for individuals who enjoy interactive, imaginative activities such as playing games, reading stories, and getting crafty with children, or for those who appreciate providing warm companionship and practical help to seniors including light tasks and accompaniment on outings or appointments.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of two years of combined experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, senior care, or similar caregiving roles. Reliable transportation—whether personal or via public transit—is mandatory to navigate the extensive service area efficiently. Jovie BOSTON offers a competitive starting pay rate from $20 per hour, emphasizing their appreciation for quality caregiving and dedication. This rewarding career not only offers monetary benefits but the emotional fulfillment of truly impacting lives positively every day.
