As the Sous Chef, you will be the creative force behind our banquet kitchen, crafting delicious dishes that impress every guest and elevate our dining offerings. This role requires a blend of culinary artistry, leadership skills, and operational excellence. From following beloved classic recipes to inventing new favorites for special events, you will ensure that every dish tastes exceptional and is visually appealing. You will work closely with your team to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment. One of your key missions will be to minimize food waste and maximize ingredient use, demonstrating both culinary creativity and cost-consciousness.

In this overtime-eligible managerial position, you will manage kitchen staff, oversee banquet menu development, and design attractive food presentations for plating and buffet services. You will also handle budget management, pantry stocking, and food cost control, ensuring operational efficiency without compromising on quality or style. Emphasizing Aimbridge Hospitality’s excellence standards, you will contribute to maintaining a hotel operation that is safe, seamless, and outstandingly guest-focused.

The ideal candidate for this role will hold a Bachelor’s degree and possess between two to four years of experience working in high-volume, full-service restaurants. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to stay composed under pressure, and strong communication skills are essential. This role offers competitive pay, eligibility for health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as additional perks such as paid time off, disability income insurance, term life insurance, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. We also now offer daily pay options, making this position a fantastic opportunity for culinary professionals eager to grow their career with Hilton Pasadena.
