In addition to food preparation, the Line Cook is expected to maintain a cooperative and service-oriented relationship with guests and colleagues, ensuring pleasant interactions and a positive guest experience. They must maintain excellent personal grooming and adhere to brand standards by wearing the proper uniform and name tag. The role demands exceptional time management skills to complete all food preparations before the opening of outlets and to provide timely, quality service during operational hours. The Line Cook will also undertake responsibilities such as preparing banquet foods according to event orders, managing buffet displays, handling food station operations, and maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform and name tag
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations
- Comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers and Safety
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Have thorough knowledge of menus and food preparation following hotel standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
- Complete food and station preparations prior to opening outlets
- Prepare and display buffet food items according to standards
- Maintain kitchen line during operating hours to prepare food to order with high efficiency and quality
- Prepare food for Banquets following Banquet Event Orders
- Service food for Associate Cafeteria as specified
- Prepare all food following standard recipes
- Prepare specials under restaurant leadership direction
- Breakdown buffets and kitchen line, storing food and equipment properly
- Work banquet stations as scheduled
- Know location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
- Practice safe work habits to prevent injury
- Be familiar with hotel policies and emergency procedures
- Use production charts as specified
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous
- Operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
- Maintain the Clean As You Go policy
- Assist in storage and rotation of food items
