Job Description
Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its high standards in guest service and hotel management. Established with a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences, Hilton operates a vast portfolio of hotels worldwide, delivering comfort, luxury, and quality accommodation to travelers. With a heritage that spans more than a century, Hilton continues to innovate and expand, ensuring travelers enjoy memorable stays at various levels of service, from full-service luxury hotels to more casual lodging options.
This positions Hilton not just as a hotel operator, but as a pioneer in creating welcoming environments that emphasize guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and employee development. The company’s dedication to maintaining consistent brand standards ensures that guests receive the same high-quality experience at any Hilton property across the globe.
Hilton is currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented Housekeepers/Room Attendants to join their housekeeping teams. This role is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas, directly influencing the overall guest experience. Housekeepers at Hilton are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that ensure guest rooms meet the hotel’s stringent cleanliness and brand standards before guests arrive. This includes tasks such as cleaning guest rooms thoroughly, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming floors, dusting furniture, replenishing towels and toiletries, removing trash, and restocking housekeeping carts.
Employees in this role must adhere to Hilton's established cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and service standards to ensure a safe and pleasant environment throughout the hotel. Housekeepers are expected to respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, further enhancing guest satisfaction. They also report any maintenance issues they observe during their work, supporting the hotel's maintenance team in upholding overall property standards.
The position typically offers competitive wage rates ranging from $15 to $24 per hour, with additional compensation opportunities such as overtime pay, weekend and holiday premiums, and performance-based bonuses that can vary depending on the hotel location. Housekeepers are assigned a specific number of rooms to clean per shift, with responsibilities including performing deep cleaning tasks as required, organizing and maintaining the housekeeping carts, replacing linens efficiently, and cleaning hallways or public spaces as assigned. They also take responsibility for the upkeep and proper use of cleaning equipment.
Full-time Housekeepers at Hilton may benefit from a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions, paid time off, employee discounts on hotel stays, and tuition assistance programs which encourage continuous learning and professional growth. There are also career advancement opportunities for those interested in moving up to supervisory or management roles within Hilton's Housekeeping or broader hotel management teams.
Many Hilton properties also incentivize performance with additional bonuses. These may include attendance bonuses, rewards for meeting room cleaning quotas, and shift differential pay for those working less desirable hours. Hilton values its employees and strives to create a supportive and rewarding work environment where team members can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the hotel’s success.
This role is ideal for individuals who are hardworking, detail-oriented, and possess a genuine interest in hospitality and guest service. Joining Hilton’s housekeeping team means being part of a globally respected brand dedicated to delivering exceptional stays and creating a welcoming home away from home for travelers worldwide.
