Job Description
Hilton is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its exceptional service and commitment to guest satisfaction. As one of the leading hotel brands worldwide, Hilton operates a vast portfolio of hotels and resorts, ranging from luxury to full-service and focused service properties. The company has built a strong reputation for providing quality accommodations and a welcoming environment for travelers from around the globe. Hilton’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and community involvement further enhances its standing in the hospitality industry.
The Housekeeper / Room Attendant position at Hilton is crucial to maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms and hotel areas. This hands-on role involves ensuring that rooms meet Hilton’s rigorous cleanliness and brand standards, offering guests an inviting and spotless environment when they arrive. Housekeepers play a vital role in shaping the guest experience, often being the unseen heroes behind a pleasant and memorable hotel stay.
In this role, employees are expected to clean guest rooms thoroughly, which includes making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming floors, dusting furniture, replenishing towels and toiletries, removing trash, and restocking housekeeping carts. Beyond routine cleaning, housekeepers are also responsible for performing deep cleaning tasks as needed, organizing housekeeping carts for efficiency, and maintaining cleaning equipment to ensure it operates at peak performance. The role may also extend to cleaning hallways and public areas as assigned.
Housekeepers must follow Hilton’s precise cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. In addition to cleaning duties, they often respond to guest requests related to room upkeep and promptly report any maintenance issues to ensure swift resolution and uninterrupted guest comfort. Employees in this position typically complete a set number of rooms per shift, with performance expectations aligned to Hilton’s service standards.
The position offers competitive compensation, typically ranging from $15 to $24 per hour, depending on location and hotel. There are additional earning opportunities through overtime pay, weekend pay, holiday pay, and performance-based bonuses. Hilton also emphasizes career growth and provides pathways for advancement into supervisory or management roles for motivated individuals.
Full-time housekeepers may be eligible for a robust benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching; paid time off; employee hotel discounts; tuition assistance programs; and more. Certain Hilton properties may also offer attendance bonuses, room quotas bonuses, and shift differential pay, further enhancing the total compensation package.
Joining Hilton as a Housekeeper / Room Attendant means being part of a global hospitality leader that values its employees and fosters a culture of respect, diversity, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy creating clean and welcoming spaces, and seek meaningful employment within a supportive and dynamic hotel environment.
