The brand emphasizes innovation, employee development, and a welcoming environment that encourages career growth and personal success. Hilton’s commitment to quality and guest-centric service has established it as a premier destination for travelers seeking consistent hospitality across the globe.
The role of Housekeeper / Room Attendant at Hilton is a vital part of the guest experience, focused on maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of guest rooms and public hotel areas. This position requires individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong attention to detail to ensure each room meets Hilton's stringent cleanliness and brand standards. Housekeepers are tasked with cleaning guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, changing linens, sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming floors, dusting furniture, and restocking necessary items such as towels and toiletries. They are also responsible for emptying trash and replenishing housekeeping carts to ensure efficiency throughout their shifts.
Housekeepers must complete a specific number of rooms per shift while adhering to Hilton’s rigorous cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. The role sometimes includes deep cleaning projects, organizing carts, cleaning hallways, and maintaining cleaning equipment. Additionally, housekeepers may respond promptly to guest requests and report any maintenance issues to management, ensuring a seamless and pleasurable stay for Hilton guests.
Compensation for this role typically ranges from $15 to $24 per hour, reflecting the candidate's experience and the hotel's location. Beyond the hourly wage, there are opportunities for overtime pay, weekend and holiday pay, as well as performance-based bonuses in some properties. Hilton supports its employees by offering full-time team members access to an extensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off; employee hotel discounts; and tuition assistance programs.
Career growth is a strong component of employment at Hilton. Housekeepers have the potential to advance to supervisory roles within the housekeeping department or transition into broader hotel management positions. Hilton fosters a culture of recognition and rewards, with select hotels providing attendance bonuses, room quota bonuses, and shift differential pay to incentivize dedication and high performance. Working as a Housekeeper at Hilton offers not only a stable job with competitive pay but also opportunities for professional development and a chance to be part of a prestigious global hospitality brand.
